Nickname(s): Brave, Frey-Frey (Only by Eros, DON'T CALL HER THAT), and Honey Heart. (By Cadence. She loves and hates this nickname at the same time.) 
Parents:  Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor.
Siblings: Eros, Crystal Corazon.
Species: Female, Unicorn.
Build:  Tall and robust, slightly athletic. 
Cutiemark: A shattered marble heart, oozing amber from it’s cracks with two swords crossing over it.
Special talent: Being beloved. / And Fighting.
Occupation: Princess / Future Commander of the guards.

Personality/Background: 

“An apple never falls far from the tree “…Was proven to be slightly wrong when the new princess came. She was always a very sweet child and quite emotional, but as little Valentina grew up, things quickly changed. Being quite the strong reflection of her parents union, she had the build of her father, and the beautiful traces of her mother; possessing such a strong love magic; something that was hinted by the fact that she was born with a rather large horn for an unicorn filly. Her birth brought great joy for all of the crystal ponies, who loved her as much as Crystal Corazon, (ret conned Flurry.) her older sister. But as she grew older, this admiration and joy took a quick turn for the worse, in Aphrodite’s point of view. Many stallions and mares started to get heavily affected by her magic, as the aura always covered her independent of her desire. Even if they didn’t know her, they immediately would all fall in love with the Princess. In the beginning it was something she could ignore, until ponies started proposing to her, mainly as she simply strolled by the streets of the empire, or when there were diplomatic meetings from other countries and races. It came to an point where some ponies or other creatures would start being “creepy” towards Princess Valentina, so she started avoiding them altogether, focusing on her main hobby as she tried to get a better grip on her “love” aura: Swordsmanship. Inheriting a natural fighting talent from her father, she could easily combine this with the potent magic she received from her mother. Soon enough the acquired a taste for swordfight, as she was quite a natural at it. Her father saw the shining potential she had on her, and even if it might be dangerous, he gave his permission for the Princess to join the local royal guard. Many guards actually though it was a joke, as a mare, even if it would be the princess herself, was not “suited” for the job, but they wouldn’t bully her as she was a royal, and also looked quite dazzling. All of them were in for a surprise when she suddenly and quickly rose to the very top, turning herself into the Captain, she punished them appropriately for their foul behavior, and disciplined HER guards into line. All of them respect her greatly, and now Princess Aphrodite holds one of the main lines of defense for the crystal Empire.

All of this greatly affected her personality, as from her filly days, she lost most of that natural sweetness and sensitiveness as she developed into a full grown mare. Difficult to impress, Valentina has most of the time an apathetic expression, having to wear a façade around her subjects or other royals. But of course, the other side of her proves to be quite the strong one, as she is a determined and strong mare. Being able to get slightly bossy, she doesn’t really stand for much time when someone is being irrational, but she will always do her best to avoid ditching the obnoxious pony completely, and try to comprehend the source of such behavior. Only her sister and mother really know how she can behave privately, as all of that range of emotions gets back to her, and she can express herself freely. Even being also a Princess of “love” herself, she can’t really feel that sentiment easily when it’s romantic. As she uses to believe, for “love” to exist, there needs to be many solid building blocks, and mutual interests. For her, the more that the word “love” is repeated for someone, the deeper it loses meaning, as it need to be kept for true bursts of the feeling.

Relationships:

Even if little Valentina was always surrounded by love and joy, it doesn’t mean something didn’t happen behind the curtains. 

Cadence was quite an attentive mother, really cherishing the fact that both her older daughter and her new filly could play together and be in harmony. They are also really close, not just a daughter and mother, but as friends, as she grew up. Having quite some fun conversations and also being honest to her mother, they could rely on each other to talk about minor things or greater issues she would not be willing to reveal to her father… But of course she doesn’t reveal ALL of her secrets to mommy.

She is quite close to her father, Shining Armor, as one of the things they love the most to do together was play, exercise and patrol the empire. Being quite the playful duo, Shining was the one that introduced his daughter to most nerdy stuff, like ogres and oubliettes. When she is openly questioned about the game by others, she get’s quite shy though, even if she is quite good at it. Shining Armor is quite proud of his lil’ warrior, and if she feels like she can do something, and it’s reasonable enough, he gives her his full support and approval.

Although she was not actually the type to be super duper close to her older sister, the Princess can actually look up to Crystal, as both deeply trust and understand each other. Being quite the pony that likes to follow logic even if her feelings might be screaming against it sometimes, she doesn’t really feel jealous of her sister as most siblings would towards an Alicorn sibling. Sharing some “deeper” secrets with her sister, they can be quite loyal to each other… And if Valentina doubts, she threats plucking every feather from Crystal’s wings… But of course she is joking; probably.

But her relationship with her younger brother Eros is quite the difficult one. Her little brother acts almost as her total opposite. Being quite stubborn, irrational, love driven, and easy to fall for temptation, and his own selfish desires, without thinking of the consequences or how it might affect others. It also didn’t helped that when they were younger, Aphrodite’s love aura ended up snatching most of his “crushes” away from him, as the poor ponies would only have eyes for her. They can still interact, but they’re quite poor at it, and most of those interactions lead up to arguing full of accusations and one trying to prove the other wrong, while the other tries to make them see the “truth”. Strangely enough, in the battlefield they form quite the strong duo, as Valentina strength is most focused on close combat, and he is most driven towards long range combat.

In the past, a little thing happened between the Princess and the Heir of the Sun, Sirius Sol. The cub couldn’t help but quickly fall in “love” as they played together and tried to know each other better. It was not like Aphrodite didn’t liked him as a friend, but she simply could not afford to trick him into thinking that she actually had a mutual romantic interest in him. It made the poor noodlecat quite sad to know it, as they visited each other less than before, but actually they were able to remain friends through it all, and Sirius got over his naïve childhood passion, as he just admits she is a fair mare nowadays.

However, there is actually someone that was able to capture the Princess interest. The younger half-sibling of Sirius, a draconequus named Butterscotch. They are the only one till now who could really be able to see Aphrodite’s true side, without all of that acting, and good manners. As they quite follow the flow of this relationship, they do not expect to hear an honest “I love you“, from the Princess, As they know her better than that. Still, they both can’t really avoid but feel slightly more than attracted towards each other. The only thing that Aphrodite knows for sure is that the mysterious charming draconequus is full of surprises and sarcasm. Their relationship is still a secret to their parents and public, however.


*Bonus Round*

Appearance Description: Aphrodite shares some heavy similarities to her parents, as she was born with beautiful turquoise eyes, and a light pink coat, fair similar to her mother. But interestingly, she has her own touch, as her curly mane pulled the colors of one of Cadence’s mane stripes, being completely golden blond. Her silky hair is quite long, as it only losses length because of the curls it have, and the braid holding it up. She constantly puts her tail her in check, as it can grow quite long very fast.  

-Trivia: 

- While in the game ogres and oubliettes, she chose the berserker character, just so she could crush everyone and everything in her path as her level went up. 
- She has an uncanny love for chocolate, don’t touch it when she is near, IT’S HERS, ONLY HERS. (Obs: Even if it was yours, it’s hers now. Back away slowly.)
- Her best friend when she was young surprisingly was Sirius, whose she cutely called snowflake because of his fluffy and white coat. They would stroll around together and help each other spread havoc, as she could levitate him, and he could not fly, but could use chaos magic.
- Aphrodite is quite possessive when she feels like something is hers, not desiring to give it up without a fight or at the very least a good explanation. 
- Different from most crystal ponies, she does not care for unsightly views, as she doesn’t flinch in the presence of blood and horrible wounds, or even carcasses.
- It’s quite difficult to make she change her expression if you’re not very close to her, or if she doesn’t like you. But if she holds a grudge, you’ll have the honor of being stabbed by the glare of her “war face” every time you cross her path.
- Aphrodite, naturally is quite the “flexible” mare, as she has quite the open mind and has the capacity to buy certain spells or use them herself, as her magic is quite strong.
